Safe Defense is a different kind of self-defense. It's a way of using conflict resolution as self-defense. It begins with a safe & common language, so we can all understand how things happen, and leads to a Critical Path for creating Peace Agreement from Conflict. Of course, the Safe Defense curriculum includes understanding and navigating conflict peacefully (PeaceDNA), but also Definitions, FOUL Buster (De-escalation), PeaceDNA (Conflict Resolution) and Peace Moves (Moving Target Hopping). The Safe Defense video curriculum is offered in two ways:
Option 1. Google Classroom for free Test & Certification (requires Google installation). Suggested best for groups because there are 12 separate video Lesson Plan files. Quizzes and 'Certificate of Course Completion' are accessed and awarded through Google Classroom.
Option 2. The 4-Part video curriculum is hosted on You Tube and is suggested for individuals. Direct links are below. It should be noted that there is no Quizzes or Test/Certification access here.
Both options carry the same video content.
A big part of a 'Safe & Common' language is being on the same page with what words mean what definitions. This makes understanding and moving forward much easier to do.
'Fouls' are any words or actions intended to hurt, harm or intimidate. Learning how to peacefully and respectfully handle word FOULs is critical to de-escalating and navigating conflict resolution. This video contains 2 lessons.
Conflict Resolution does have a 'Critical Path' of steps to follow just like a recipe for cooking a dish. Follow the recipe and be successful. Leave something out and you risk failure. Include the critical things, follow the directions, and you succeed every time. PeaceDNA is the recipe for creating Peace Agreement. This video contains 4 lessons.
Peace Moves is a method of moving an unarmed attacker's target (your body) with 2-footed Hopping to 'out-of-acceptance' positions. Every Peace Moves Hopping pattern ends with FOUL Buster to address the intention behind the attack. Also shown is Peace Hands, a kind of 'Force Field' that works without injuring the attacker. This video contains 5 lessons.
